Product Description

Vikings have a long history of using axes in the heat of battle. Eric Bloodaxe was one of the toughest Vikings in history. At the age of 12 he raided along the Baltic and European coasts. Eric tried eliminating his competition for the crown of Norway by murdering all his brothers. This is how he earned his nickname "Bloodaxe". Our Hand Forged Medieval Viking Bloodaxe War Blade is constructed of stainless steel with a black finish and silver edging. There are three weight reducing cutouts in the blade to help with balancing. The handle is constructed of wood that has been stained and treated with a polyurethane coating. The bottom of the handle features grooves for a firm yet comfortable grip. Included is a leather frog with steel rivets that slides onto a belt to keep your blade at your side. This piece has weight reducing cutouts in both blades. This one handed axe can be used for display or the finishing accessory to a period costume or re-enactment.
